Described by the Center for Media and Democracy as "a small vehemently anti-affirmative action group," CEO needs no burning crosses on the quads of American universites to shake loose millions of dollars that were intended to support minority applicants. All that is needed is a thuggish legal-sounding letter to financial aid offices, and universities begin to roll over. Here's clip from the NY Times story:
"They're all trying to minimize their legal exposure," Susan Sturm, a law professor at Columbia University, said about colleges and universities. "The question is how are they doing that, and are they doing that in a way that's going to shut down any effort or any successful effort to diversify the student body?"
