Let's hope Jose Lara and others like him continue speaking out against the privatization and Balkanization of public education. Policymakers and eduidiots - including, unfortunately, our President and the Secretary of Education - do not have teachers in mind when the talk about "innovation." They're talking about CMOs, EMOs, online learning (run, mostly, by for-profit companies), and an assortment of other kinds of "innovation" - but none of this is done with or by teachers: it's done to them.
