. . . .Attending KIPP isn’t easy. It’s flat out hard work. Not only for the KIPPster, but for the KIPP Parent as well. From extended school days, 7:30AM – 5:00PM, school every other Saturday, Summer school, public service projects, zero tolerance for disciplinary issues and total chaos during drop off and pick-up, simply put, attending a KIPP network school is a job.
When I talked to my friends about possibly enrolling their children in KIPP TRUTH, I got many different responses:
“Oh, that’s too much”Those are just a few of the things I heard. All the reasons I was determined to get my daughter into KIPP were the same reasons KIPP was not an option for some. . . .
“I want my child to have balance”
“KIPP is too serious”
“They don’t let the kids have any fun”
