For those of you who have been at the beach or in the garden for the past week, Massachusetts teachers were stabbed in the back last week by their own union president, Paul Toner, who gave away core due process, seniority, and job security rights without a whimper. In fact, the tone-deaf Toner proclaimed a victory and posted an announcement on Facebook. The 80+ comments make for a good reading on how teachers feel betrayed by Toner's sweetheart deal with corporate education re-treaders from the astroturf group, Stand on Children. The announcement and comments are under June 7.
Go there and leave a comment, or at least ask Toner for a copy of the agreement he signed. Toner is not returning calls to bloggers who ask too many critical questions.

Jim, do we know who's filed the bill? We should be able to get a copy through the Legislature.
