Tennessee Teacher and Parent Revolt Underway
It was a long time coming. Here is an excellent story from Knoxille's MetroPulse. Where is the corporate media? Hiding out with the corporate losers in charge.
At a KCS-sponsored insight session at Ritta Elementary on Nov. 13, teachers broke out into small groups to discuss their concerns. One said she had gotten a urinary tract infection because she no longer had time to go to the bathroom. Another said, “Some days I just leave school and cry.” A third said she had been diagnosed with breast cancer earlier in the year. “Some days, chemo was better,” she commented about her job.
HOW BAD DOES IT HAVE TO GET? Will they be marching them into the showers next? Jesus Christ, Lord, what a hot mess. Jim, thanks for sharing, great article from TN, happening to teachers here in NJ too - anyone who can get out is getting out. Most teachers are so busy jumping through hoops, they have little time or energy to fight. To those who are fighting the good fight in TN and elsewhere, and still teaching, it's nothing short of a Herculean effort.
