"It is abundantly clear that the legislators don't care. . ."
So while SOS or its replacement, NPE, strut and proclaim, talk and talk and talk some more, there are parents taking the fight to the cynical profiteers' and ideologues' educational genocide against all we cherish.
Sure, a legislative win here and a board of ed victory there make us feel good, but this is a war for the soul of American education, and it won't be won for children by legislative replacements, corporate union dealmaking, and the poor fools who still think they can close their doors and teach.
This war will be won by parents, teachers, students, and concerned citizens who care about human rights and democratic governance. It will be a revolt against the revolting, civil and uncivil acts of disobedience, non-violent resistance that does not shrink or compromise.
