What Happened When Sister Betsy Spoke at an HBCU Commencement
Racist billionaire and Secretary of Education, Betsy Devos, thought she would smooth over some of Trump's more outrageous abuses of HBCUs when she went to speak at Bethune-Cookman's commencement. I don't think she will make that mistake again.
DeVos demonstrates great similarity to a broken record. She drones on and on with her unintelligent platitudes. For a person of her degree of insularity, the learning curve is steep. As a veteran teacher, I would hold little hope of significant growth in her tenure as secretary of education. The best case scenario for her would be the issuance of an IEP to hone in on her areas of profound disability, which in my view are centered around challenges in development of empathy and compassion. The best strategy I could offer to remediate her difficulties would be an opportunity to live amongst my students in Newark for a minimum of a week.
