Yesterday Biden announced that teachers and other school folks will be offered vaccination through participating "federal pharmacies" by the end of March. The plan is to have one shot in all arms of all school employees who want shots by March 1.
Ummmm, there are plenty of teachers that are NOT planning to take the vaccine yet. Teacher vaccination is not mandatory, nor is it a condition of our employment. I do not know why he thinks every single teacher is going to take the vaccine this month. (Most will, but many will not) Go check some of the comments on vaccination in the NYC Teacher Facebook groups and you will see some resistance to the vaccine from select teachers. I bet many teachers in republican states will also be opting not take the vaccine yet or at all.
ReplyDeleteYou might have a point but teachers need to step up and take vaccine, I did, I mis my students, I miss my kids and I miss my colleagues. I took the vaccine and even though I am a grandmother now who would like to see her grand's grow up, I believe we need to take vaccine otherwise how will we ever know what works. Sometime in life, we need to make sacrifices and this is one of those times. Take the damn vaccine!
